COVID extensions are expired and USCG licensing is back to normal.
Yes! If your MMC You have until October 31, 2022 to renew like normal.
This means any MMC that expired between November 1, 2020, and June 30, 2021 had its validity period of the MMC extended until October 31, 2021, which becomes the expiration date of the credential. The administrative grace period begins on that date and ends 12 months later on October 31, 2022; see 46 CFR 10.227 (h).
Lots of words to say that if your MMC expired between November 1, 2020, and June 30, 2021, you are Good to go and can renew like normal until October 31st, 2022.
We recommend including this exact statement to your application if this applies to you:
My MMC expired between March 1, 2020, and June 30, 2021. Please renew my MMC under the extension from MSIB Number: 08-20, Change 5 which makes the validity period of the MMC until October 31, 2021, which becomes the expiration date of the credential. The administrative grace period begins on that date and ends 12 months later on October 31, 2022; see 46 CFR 10.227 (h).
