Renew your USCG license 7-8 months before expiry to avoid lapses. MM-SEAS ensures a smooth renewal process with a $349 perfect application.
You are encouraged to renew your USCG license 8 months before it expires.
If you renew within 8 months of expiration, your new MMC will be post-dated to the day after your current MMC expires. This ensures that you have no lapse of your valid USCG license and that you don't lose any of the five years you paid for on both licenses.
Here's the USCG Policy on it in case you run into any issues.
We always recommend using this benefit and submitting for your renewal of your USCG license 7 or 8 months before your USCG license is going to expire to make sure you are always able to work.
We hope this made your life a little easier and if you have other questions the MM-SEAS team is always here to help!
